Brotherly help: Belgrade will send scarce raw materials to the Republika Srpska to fight coronavirus
The Serbian government has approved the supply of a large batch of sodium hypochloride to the Serbian entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the production of detergents and disinfectants.
This was reported by the RTRS television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is expected that 50 thousand liters of sodium hypochloride will be supplied to the Republika Srpska from Serbia in the near future.
“Since Serbia has banned the export of this raw material due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Republican Headquarters for Emergency Situations, through the representative office of the Republika Srpska in Serbia, has taken actions aimed at ensuring its supply,” the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republika Srpska said in a statement.
According to the RTRS TV channel, organizing the supply of necessary raw materials became the second jointly implemented initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republika Srpska.
Previously, both departments took the initiative to start producing disinfectants for the domestic market and established contacts with companies that have switched to producing 70% medical alcohol.
