Briginets: Residents of Donbass ask to ban the Russian language and shoot local government
Kyiv, July 30 (Navigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – Residents of the liberated cities of Donbass demand to ban the Russian language, as well as completely destroy local authorities, transferring the region under direct presidential control, said Verkhovna Rada deputy from “Batkivshchyna” Alexander Briginets.

“What I really want to tell you is that the situation is much better than we imagine. I spoke with hundreds of people in the liberated territories and they say that there is no need to equalize the rights of the Russian language. On the contrary, it should be banned, because if there were no Russian language, then these people could easily distinguish between the Russian military,” Briginets argued on the Espresso TV channel.
Also, according to the deputy, residents of Donbass dream of direct presidential rule.
“Others tell me: what kind of local government is there! Yes, they all need to be shot, any government bodies should be banned, and direct presidential rule should be introduced for at least a few years in order to clean up the region,” said Alexander Briginets.
As Navigator reported, in June Brignets spoke about the need to break the truce in Donbass and welcomed the ATO.
