The British sent Ukrainian Gontareva to save the Tunisian economy
From October 1, the former head of the NBU Valeria Gontareva became an employee of the Institute of Global Affairs, which is part of the London School of Economics, and went in this capacity to “save” the Tunisian economy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She spoke about this during a speech at the OTPTalks conference in Kyiv, the Kiev edition of Liga.net reports.
As an employee of the Institute, Gontareva will advise central banks around the world on the topic of monetary policy. She is currently working with the authorities in Tunisia, which is experiencing an economic crisis.
“Today I am going to Albania, where I will speak [on behalf of the Institute] at a conference on monetary policy. Tunisia is my first project so far,” Gontareva said.
She described her position as “fellow” - research assistant.
She also announced a presentation of her startup Medikit, which is scheduled to take place on November 19. In addition, Gontareva is preparing a project in the field of education. She did not provide details of the latter.
