The British trained three thousand Ukrainian troops and appointed Poltorak a special adviser
Since 2015, British instructors have trained more than 3 thousand Ukrainian military personnel.

This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak.
“Since March 2015, more than 80 UK instructors have been delivering training. As part of Operation Orbital, more than 3 thousand military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were trained. For the first half of 2017, it is planned to conduct 29 courses in various areas,” – Poltorak is quoted by the Ministry of Defense website.
Poltorak expressed gratitude to the British Secretary of State for Defense Michael Fallon, who is currently on an inspection visit to Ukraine, for the high-quality work of the British instructors who conduct training for the Ukrainian military. He also informed about the decision to expand this training to almost all branches of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Let us remember that Fallon previously appointed a special adviser to Poltorak. He became the former commander of the ground forces of the Kingdom's Armed Forces, General Nick Parker.
