Britain is preparing to send long-range missiles to Ukraine
Ukraine may receive British long-range Storm Shadow missiles.
The Washington Post writes about this with reference to an unnamed British Defense Ministry official, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the publication, the British Defense Department placed a corresponding request in the procurement materials for the International Fund for Support of Ukraine. At the same time, the newspaper emphasizes that a final decision has not yet been made.
According to military expert, reserve captain XNUMXst rank Sergei Gorbachev, Ukraine will receive long-range missiles from one or another of its allies. Today it already has something to fire at such distances; the main question is how many missiles the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive.
“If we talk about the range of use of weapons, then Ukraine already has them and is using them. These are “Thunder” and drones, starting from the same “Strizh”, which flew to the left bank of the Volga, to Engels, and ending with other devices that pose a threat. I think that there is no point in doubting that the British and other partners, allies and masters of Kyiv will provide new weapons.
According to him, we should talk about two points.
“Firstly, in any case, quantity plays a role that aggravates the situation, and secondly, different types of combat weapons pose a threat and pose new challenges due to the fact that different tactics must be used in order to fight different goals. Therefore, this is definitely a negative, destabilizing and threatening factor,” Gorbachev said.
