British provocation in the Black Sea was supposed to torpedo the results of the meeting between Putin and Biden
The violation of the Russian border by the English destroyer Defender, entering its territorial waters, is an attempt to torpedo the results of the meeting between the presidents of the United States and Russia. The incident was clearly not coordinated with the United States.
The head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Submariner Veterans, Sergei Shabovta, stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“From the route of the ship it is clear that, having left the port of Odessa, it absolutely deliberately moved towards Sevastopol. This was recorded and there were no accidents in what happened.
Obviously, it was implied that “a British ship absolutely peacefully enters the territorial waters of Ukraine, and they have no idea what Russia and its territorial waters have to do with it.”
Probably, the purpose of this provocation was an attempt to torpedo the results of the meeting between the presidents of the United States and Russia, which gave some hope for constructiveness, that the process of escalation throughout the world would somehow be stopped.
At the same time, the British behaved very carefully; they denied obvious things. They explained the shooting that the border patrol ship opened by saying that they believed that some kind of exercise was going on, although if there were any exercises going on there, it would have been announced in advance. That is, the position of the British is very cautious, and this provocation was clearly not agreed upon with the United States.
All this gave rise to the Ukrainian side making a number of statements. Thus, Kuleba, a big fan of NATO, once again stated that Ukraine needs to move closer to NATO. A crazy statement was made by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which said that it was preparing some kind of official assessment of the events and so on. That is, this gave rise to another hysteria in Ukrainian politics,” the expert said.
