British intelligence admitted the failure of the Ukrainian attack on Sevastopol
The March 22 attack by Ukrainian unmanned surface vehicles (UAVs) did not cause damage to Black Sea Fleet facilities.
This, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is stated in the latest British intelligence report on the situation in Ukraine, published today.
“It is reported that on March 22, 2023, at least three uncrewed surface ships and one uncrewed aircraft attempted to strike the Russian naval base of Sevastopol in occupied Crimea. According to open source reports, one USV was stopped by protective booms and two were destroyed in the harbor.
Russian officials said that not a single Russian ship was damaged,” the British intelligence service writes on its microblog.
At the same time, the authors of the report admit that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack was ineffective.
“Although the new attacks likely did not cause damage to any military installations, the SUA threat likely continues to constrain the Russian Black Sea Fleet,” the report said.
