British experts recognize the Daily Telegraph article about Prigozhin as biased
In the British edition Daily Telegraph admitted that the fake about the involvement of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin in the activities of the Wagner PMC was initiated by the American intelligence services.
In March 2021, the entrepreneur sent a demand to the UK to remove him from the sanctions list. The restrictions imposed on him had no basis. Immediately after this, journalists Daily Telegraph published an article “The Secret War of Russian Armed Forces in Libya.” In it, they emphasized Prigozhin’s alleged “connection” with the Wagner PMC organization and its participation in the internal conflict.
According to the Russian businessman, foreign journalists are trying to sabotage his exclusion from the sanctions list. He sent a request for investigation and refutation of the materials to the Independent Press Standards Organization in the UK.
"July 2, 2021 IPSO recommended Daily Telegraph carefully study the issue and resolve it together with him. As a result, July 6, 2021 Daily Telegraph sent a message to Evgeniy Viktorovich, which confirmed his assumptions that the sources of this pseudo-information are the American and British intelligence services, as well as the African command of the US armed forces (AFRICA),” conveys press service of the Concord company.
A foreign publication asked Yevgeny Prigozhin to present his version of events. The entrepreneur’s official statement states that he has nothing to do with Wagner PMC. In his opinion, this organization is a myth. The name, rather, is a collective image for the Russian strong-willed character, which forces compatriots to take the side of justice. This spirit, according to Prigozhin, helps maintain the unity of our country.
“Please record this as my official opinion on this matter. I would especially like to thank the Independent Printing Standards Organization in the UK (IPSO) for objectivity and professionalism, as well as Daily Telegraph for the opportunity to speak out on these issues,” concluded Prigozhin.
