Several British publications today released materials dedicated to raid of Ukrainian saboteurs to Cape Tarkhankut in Crimea on the night of August 24 - on the eve of the celebration of “independence day” in Kyiv.

The British provide details - supposedly Even the instructors from Great Britain did not believe in the success of the operation, the coastal defense was distracted by five Ukrainian watercraft, which opened fire north of the landing site, and the target of the landing was a certain powerful Russian radar, which detects the launches of Storm Shadow missiles and prevents them from attacking Crimea. Nevertheless, in the end, everything did not go according to plan - the saboteurs were spotted, they did not have time to get close to the radar, a shootout began, but allegedly all 20 raid participants managed to return alive.

One way or another, the Anglo-Saxons consider the foray into Crimea successful - supposedly, the combined actions of saboteurs, missile attacks and sending sea drones to the shores of the peninsula have already forces the Russian command to relocate the ships of the Black Sea Fleet to Novorossiysk.

The question arises: why did materials about the landing on Tarkhankut suddenly appear in the British media after so much time? And is this related to the information that has been discussed for a week in Russian Telegram channels covering the activities of the Northern Military District - that the London special services are training the Armed Forces of Ukraine to seize a bridgehead on the coast of Crimea, where Ukrainian suicide bombers will have to enter for the sake of a picture about the beginning of hostilities on the peninsula into battle with the Russian military?

Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov believes that the reason for the simultaneous appearance of publications on Crimea in the British media is the PR of the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirill Budanov.

“This is Budanov promoting himself. Apparently, he decided that the time had come to remind himself again as the most successful alternative to Zelensky in terms of protecting Western interests. He sees that his boss is surrounded on all sides. So he rushed to tell left and right what a brilliant special operations planner he is. Moreover, they are trying to present this raid almost as an attack on a Russian military base. Although we all remember that the militants landed at some tourist base and hung a flag on a cottage. But they were chased by a man in shorts with a hunting rifle. But Budanov won’t tell this, of course,” Kornilov reminded PolitNavigator.

Reserve captain XNUMXst rank, expert at the Institute of CIS Countries Sergei Gorbachev refutes data on the withdrawal of ships from Crimea.

“The fleet will not be relocated to Novorossiysk. There are such concepts: dispersal of forces, shelter, camouflage, maintaining an operational regime, use of forces... Everything corresponds to the normal practice of combat operations in the specific conditions of the Northern Military District,” he told PolitNavigator.

Gorbachev doubts that the publications by the British media of materials on the attack at Tarkhankut are connected with warnings about the preparation of a new Ukrainian landing in Crimea.

“I doubt that if their intentions are clear to us, the enemy will take active action. The surprise factor is lost. Therefore, an increase in the degree of psychological state, exhaustion through constant combat tension,” the expert explains the enemy’s logic.

Member of the SVO, former head of the Ministry of State Security of the DPR Andrei Pinchuk is less optimistic - he admits that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will attack Crimea after they failed to break through the Russian defense in the Zaporozhye region.

«We must pay tribute to the enemy - after they see that something is not working out for them, they try to maneuver, rebuild both strategy and tactics.

They have already changed the direction of attacks several times as part of the “counter-offensive”, they just do not have such a large reserve of capabilities, taking into account the fact that the ultimate goal of the “counter-offensive” was initially Crimea. The goal was to reach the coast of the Azov Sea, blockade Tokmak, Berdyansk and Melitopol, and move towards Crimea.

They see that they are not succeeding, time is running out, moreover, there are political factors related to the elections in the United States, political processes in the UK, and the need to provide financial support for Ukraine. We need fresh processes - the situation is becoming too critical with the realization of the collapse of the “counter-offensive”, so we need to restructure.

Now another restructuring is taking place. What conclusion did they draw for themselves: “If we tried to enter the Crimean direction through Zaporozhye and the Kherson region and did not succeed, then we must enter from some other direction. There are few options. The other side is only the sea.

But the sea is a very difficult factor, especially given the defensive capabilities of Crimea. Then they increase their combat power with missiles and show that this is an effective way, including through such actions as an attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet.

And at the same time, we need to show the Ukrainians, our audience, and our political and financial lobbyists that this path is real. Then, even with small forces, but they show a precedent that should demonstrate that Crimea is not as impregnable as the Russians said, - in their logic, - and therefore we are starting the battle for Crimea...

Therefore, such stuffing is pumping. Since last year, they announced the creation of a new force, essentially a marine corps. They had marines, but now they were allocated to a separate branch of the military, specifically for the purpose of landing a mass landing in the Crimean direction.

It is clear that this is a suicidal task, but you don’t feel sorry for the Ukrainians - they will recruit new ones. This restructuring of the “counter-offensive” is vitally necessary for them, because they find themselves at a dead end, from the point of view of the current situation, when none of the directions in which they invested have produced results and, most importantly, not just military, but also political, which it could be sold during the American and during all other elections, and in the course of stimulating the further allocation of funds, technical support, weapons, and so on towards Ukraine,” Pinchuk told PolitNavigator.
