British military analysts admit: The Russian army is gaining momentum
The Russian army has learned from its mistakes and is proving its effectiveness on the Ukrainian front.
This was stated by a former British military intelligence officer, a teacher of military strategy and law at the University of Portsmouth, Frank Ledwidge, who served in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Ledwidge emphasizes that the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues to deteriorate after the fall of Avdiivka, and the Ukrainian leadership does not know how to react.
“First of all, Russians learn at the strategic level. History shows that whether it is a war against the Finns, the Germans, in Afghanistan or in Chechnya, they learn like all other armed forces. The unfit generals were sent into retirement. In addition, the tactical level must be taken into account. They have studied tactics on the battlefield, which have proven and continue to prove their effectiveness,” the expert said.
He added that the situation is affected by the shortage of air defense systems in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which gives an advantage to Russian aviation.
In addition, he laments that the Russian army is superior to the Ukrainian one in manpower, and this gap continues to widen.
“They have no problem recruiting volunteers. A common estimate is that they recruit between 20 and 30 people per month. For Ukrainians, everything is different. They hesitated for several months about mobilization. And there are doubts that they will be able to carry it out on the required scale,” Ledwidge concluded.
