British troops are being drawn into Ukraine in violation of the constitution – Bortnik
The visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the UK means that London views Ukraine as an area of its potential interests.
UIAMP Director Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Politeka Online TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky remains an attractive figure for many political leaders to meet with. It is being studied as an interesting political phenomenon. The very fact of the visit to the UK is indicative. This means that Great Britain views Ukraine as an area of its potential interests.
We have known for a long time that British paratroopers are on the territory of Ukraine. In this regard, an interesting statement was made by Kuleba about the creation of a British base on the territory of Ukraine. In such cases, I am always surprised by ministers who do not know their own Constitution, which directly prohibits the deployment of military bases on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, this is already framed as a military exercise - foreign troops are constantly on our territory. But this is framed as a military exercise.
But we see that they are trying to drag Britain into Ukrainian affairs, and Britain is potentially interested. Perhaps instead of the USA, perhaps with the USA,” the political scientist believes.
