The British Prime Minister brought the continuation of the war to Ukraine – Bondarenko
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak came to Ukraine in order to obtain guarantees for the continuation of the war against Russia.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Rishi Sunak's visit is actually "Let's just fight" 2.0. This can be compared to Johnson's visit in April 2022. As for Sunak’s visit itself – he did not give serious guarantees. If you look, there are no guarantees.
What is given to Ukraine is given to continue the war. Long range missiles - not the weapon that is given to end the war. It is given in order to continue the war,” Bondarenko said.
He emphasized that this visit had been prepared for a long time - it was for this that Zelensky went on a tour of the Baltic countries.
“Important points that remained behind the scenes and related to the guarantees that Ukraine assumed were discussed there. And all the nuances of Rishi Sunak’s future visit were decided there. Only for the uninitiated does it seem like an unexpected and spontaneous visit.
Ukraine is trying to consolidate British dominance in conditions where the United States does not provide the desired amount of money, do not give weapons, and so on. Britain is returning to square one in Ukraine,” the expert added.
