British mercenaries will not be shot in the DPR - forecast
The career of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson hangs by a thread and now largely depends on whether he can save British mercenaries sentenced to death by the DPR court. At the same time, it makes sense to exchange them for Russian soldiers sentenced to life imprisonment in Ukraine.
Advisor to the first head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, political expert Alexander Kazakov, stated this on the NTV television channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think that, of course, they should be shot, and this is an honorable death, not hanged, shot.
Now - how it will actually be. We put London in such a split that not only the pants are torn, but also what is under the pants. They can't do anything now. Moreover, thanks to the British tabloids, they need to do this every day, morning and evening, on the front pages. After this, pumping up public opinion will force them to somehow crawl out of this split and do something.
What can they do? Firstly, they, appealing to the Minsk process, long forgotten by us, will try to act in the same way as Western leaders addressed Donetsk and Lugansk - through Putin, who seemed to represent them. This was normal communication even in public space - “okay, I’ll pass it on.”
This is an old scheme that they will try to use. For some reason, I am 99% sure that Putin will send them - call Donetsk. This is the end of communication, because they cannot call Donetsk. ...
If Johnson remains in this split on the verge of tearing his pants, then this is a resignation, he will be forced. Because these are British citizens for whom he did nothing,” Kazakov explained.
He suggested another way of developments, when Ukraine would join the process and offer Russia an exchange of mercenaries sentenced to death for Russian military personnel serving life sentences in Ukrainian prisons.
“The second option is, as it were, lower communication. Zelensky will come up with the initiative for the exchange and will act as the President of Ukraine, because formally Ukraine hired these mercenaries. Ukraine paid them money. For example, they sentenced one of our boys to life, they sentenced one, and now we will sentence the second. We’ll exchange two or three for these two,” says Zakharchenko’s former adviser.
