According to him, in addition to the Tigers, the Russian Ministry of Defense is interested in installing the Arbalet-DM on armored vehicles of the Typhoon family, MT-LB multi-purpose transporter tractors, as well as on the recently developed BT-3F tracked armored personnel carriers.
The Arbalet-DM combat module can be installed on wheeled and tracked armored vehicles, surface vessels and stationary security posts. The module is armed with a 12,7 mm Kord machine gun with 150 rounds of ammunition or a 7,62 mm PKTM machine gun with 250 rounds of ammunition.
“Arbalet-DM” can capture and automatically track targets from a standstill and in motion, and the television camera allows you to recognize a target at a distance of 2,5 km, and the thermal imaging camera – up to 1,5 km. The sighting system is also equipped with a laser rangefinder.
