Budanov hopes that he will be taken out of Ukraine - expert
The Kiev authorities are trying to curry favor with their Western masters so that during a defeat they can get on the “last plane” and be evacuated abroad.
Boris Rozhin, an expert at the Center for Military-Political Journalism, stated this on the Zvezda TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The studio asked whether the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, who promised to kill Russians, received any security guarantees.
“He operates in the mainstream of Western hawks. And he expects that if he sits in a bunker, observes basic precautions, moves around and monitors his safety, that even in the event of a negative scenario, he will be taken out, just as part of the leadership of South Vietnam was taken out after the US defeat in the war,” the expert said.
However, he emphasized that there would be no place on the “last plane” for a significant part of the Kyiv leadership, and particularly inconvenient figures would be eliminated.
“And some don’t get on the last plane. Some may even be eliminated, just as some people were eliminated who were involved in very inconvenient topics for the United States, and suddenly something happened to them.
These people, as a rule, have significant savings in Western accounts; their families were brought to the United States long ago. They understand that if they have it here, they can move to an alternate airfield there. And, most likely, they are given such guarantees - continue to work in the same paradigm, and if you’re unlucky, we will take you out,” concluded Rozhin.
