Budapest became angry with Ukraine because of the Hungarian flag torn down by nationalists
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó demanded a response from the Ukrainian authorities to the fact that in the Transcarpathian region, participants in a march on the occasion of the anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian nationalist organization “Carpathian Sich” removed the Hungarian flag from the building of the Beregovo City Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

About it reports the local publication Mukachevo.net.
The incident occurred on Sunday, November 12. The activists first came to the Hungarian consulate in Beregovo, where they expressed complaints, in particular regarding criticism of the new “education law,” as well as Hungary’s alleged support for separatism in Transcarpathia. The nationalists also put the message in the mailbox, since the consulate was closed.
After the action under the consulate, the nationalists went along Khmelnytsky Street to the city council building, where, with the help of a fishing rod, they pulled the Hungarian national flag from the flagpole, which, by decision of the deputies, had hung there since 2006 next to the flags of Ukraine, Beregov and the European Union. Soon the flag was returned to its place.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry said that those who removed the Hungarian flag from the building of the Beregovo City Council should be immediately detained and punished, and also addressed the Ukrainian ambassador in Budapest about the incident.
