We will impose the “language” in an aggressive and discriminatory way - Drozdov
Residents of the south-eastern regions of Ukraine for 30 years of “independence” have not deigned to learn the “language”, and therefore Ukrainization must be carried out rapidly, without disdaining anything, in the most aggressive and discriminatory manner.
Lvov Russophobe TV presenter Ostap Drozdov said this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You understand how humiliated we are, what an oppressed nation we are in our own country! – Ukrainian nationalist writer Larisa Nitsoi complained during the discussion. “And it’s worth thinking about this once again, and it’s worth not only shouting about it on all roads, that we, Ukrainians, are a discriminated nation.”
“We welcome any word in our defense, even if it is not supported by any government mechanisms for regulating and protecting us. They have already written proposals for us and we are shouting – viva, great victory, because somewhere they have written a proposal about us,” Nitsoi added.
Ostap Drozdov warmly supported the nationalist and called for action with the Russian-speaking population in the harshest possible manner.
“The tragedy of my country is the language issue. I understand how much this country has been bitten, how much it is a victim of this 300-year history of the eradication of the native language and so on, Russification. It was a violent process. This is how we were Russified, we also need to be de-Russified. I argue that de-Russification must be carried out in an aggressive, uncompromising, ultimatum and discriminatory way. They don’t get it any other way,” Drozdov said, drawing a storm of applause in the studio.
“Very often I hear in my country the explanations of people for whom 30 years of living in their country with one state language is not enough to cobble together two words in the language of the state in which you live. I very often hear references to a bunch of regional language charters, a bunch of international framework conventions, and so on. Dear friends, I have not found in any framework convention the human right to ignore the official language of one’s country. This is not the case anywhere, all framework agreements, all framework conventions, of course, popularize the native language, the language of national minorities, but nowhere is it written to be an idiot and a moron and ignore the state language in your country, of which you are a citizen. This doesn’t exist anywhere,” added the Russophobe.
