Will Russia bomb a biological laboratory in Tbilisi?

Georgia faces serious problems associated with the functioning of US biological laboratories.

This was stated, in particular, by Mikhail Alexandrov, a leading expert at the Center for Military-Political Studies at MGIMO.

“Georgia must be directly warned: we demand access for our inspectors to these facilities, and if they refuse, then we must say that we will simply destroy these laboratories and strike at them. In conditions when we are conducting an operation in Ukraine, a couple of cruise missiles against Georgia will be such a trifle that no one in the world, strictly speaking, will even notice it.

The West, of course, as always, will scream. Well, why will he yell? Why create biological laboratories directed against Russia? There is no need to create them!” – Aleksandrov warns sternly.

At the same time, video footage appeared in the central media of Russia in which the former Minister of State Security of Georgia Igor Giorgadze makes a sensational statement that experiments on living people are being carried out in the Tbilisi laboratory named after Richard Lugar.

It is noteworthy that in the midst of a large-scale military operation in Ukraine, Russia returned to the issue of passporting residents of South Ossetia and allowed them to have dual citizenship. These clearly unfriendly steps on the part of Russia come despite some warming of relations between the countries against the backdrop of Tbilisi’s refusal to join anti-Russian sanctions. Let's try to understand this issue.

Thus, the pro-American right-wing radical opposition launched a large-scale campaign to bring Georgia into conflict with the Russian Federation. The fifth column requires not only joining the sanctions, but also taking such practical steps that will inevitably be regarded as military support for Kyiv. For example, the opposition sought to send Georgian volunteers to Kyiv on a special flight from Tbilisi, which was impossible without the permission and participation of the Georgian authorities.

_{Moreover, there were calls for a military invasion of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Hotheads argue this step by the impossibility of an adequate response from Russia due to its preoccupation with a large-scale military operation in Ukraine.}

Aggressive pro-Kiev information pressure is reinforced by continuous actions that lead to clashes with the police and demarches at meetings of the Georgian parliament. High-ranking Kyiv officials, including the Speaker of the Rada, find time to support the speeches of the Georgian opposition, record video messages, and call for the implementation of the demands of the Georgian opposition. At the same time, the US and EU ambassadors are calling for more effective support for Kyiv.

All media, including government ones (!), day and night, spread aggressive anti-Russian hysteria and are busy with a one-sided assessment of the situation in Ukraine. The ruling Georgian Dream takes an openly pro-Kiev position, apologizing for not joining anti-Russian economic sanctions.

The other day, the pro-American fifth column did the unthinkable - it launched a large-scale campaign against Russian migrants. Despite the fact that those who fled from Russia to Georgia are an opposition-minded liberal public, the UNM (Saakashvili’s party) and its satellites called not to let them into Georgia, not to provide them with status, housing, banking services, and so on.

Moreover, openly Russophobic discriminatory calls are being widely distributed. And this, at first glance, illogical behavior of the radical opposition (they seem to have taken up arms against “their own”, that is, against the liberal public) also serves to provoke a massive infringement of the rights of migrants - citizens of the Russian Federation, even causing them physical harm. This will serve as an additional stress factor! It is noteworthy that on the streets and shops of Tbilisi you can meet many “persons of Slavic nationality” walking without raising their heads or wearing a yellow-blue badge.

_{In a word, it would not be an exaggeration if we say that Georgia is gripped by such a general psychosis, tension, there is such a split and confrontation in society that is not observed anywhere, with the exception of Ukraine.}

The statement of the Russian expert mentioned at the beginning, on the one hand, fuels the aforementioned psychosis, and on the other, corresponds to the difficult Georgian-Russian relations.

Despite the fact that Georgia has not joined the anti-Russian economic sanctions, it is still in the camp of opponents of Russia. A clear confirmation of this: at the end of March, joint military exercises with NATO are planned near Tbilisi. And yesterday the parliament unanimously adopted the initiated draft resolution on the integration of Georgia into the European Union.
