More than half of Ukrainians do not consider independent Ukraine a state worth fighting for. Moreover, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lose four potential mobilized army corps per year - this is more than the entire contingent that took part in the 2023 “counter-offensive”.
Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine who is in the United States, stated this in an interview with propagandist Vasily Golovanov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How many Ukrainians consider an independent Ukraine a value? And the second question is how many Ukrainians consider an independent Ukraine, which in a similar way (means the lawlessness of military commissars, catching people on the streets, raids on gyms, etc. – ed.) treats his citizens, as this war has revealed, with great value that he is willing to volunteer to fight for?
I'm afraid we won't like the answer very much. I think that there are actually three million such people, and all the rest will soon begin to “vote with their feet” either within the country, as they voted. 4,5 million men are not registered for military service, they are hiding, this is half of the adult population of the country, and many are already “ vote."
The speaker of the border service said - we catch 25-30 people every day who, be it a carcass or a stuffed animal, risking their lives, many die, trying to cross the state border in one direction. This is 900 people per month, 12 thousand per year. On the one hand, not a lot - not a little, on the other, you know, these are four brigades trying to escape every year.
We also have 100 deserters per day, that’s 12 brigades per year.
In total, 16 brigades per year - four army corps (I remind you that three army corps took part in the entire offensive in the south), one way or another he wants not to participate in all this at the level of active operations. Violation of the law - running away and attempting to cross the state border. And those who are passively hiding or objecting, there are even more of them, we count 4,5 million,” said Arestovich.
He noted with irony that at this rate it could happen that Ukraine, which so desires to destabilize the situation in Russia, will receive the Maidan at home.
“Then the time has come to ask the state a question: what kind of state have you built, how do you treat us, that the overwhelming majority of people, half, do not want to go to defend this state?
And if we ever have the Maidan that the president spoke about, we could find ourselves in a very interesting and paradoxical situation. Everyone was waiting for an uprising in Russia against Putin because of the inhumane war, disintegration, and everyone was waiting for marvelous unity and support from Ukraine. And it will be very funny if in Russia they vote for Putin without any uprisings, and in our country some kind of civil unrest on a regional or general scale begins, against the TCC and their manner of mobilization, against the state. Now, it will be funny, right?” – noted the ex-adviser.
“Any such events weaken the state during the war, any rallies and attempts,” Vasily Golovanov hastened to warn the television prostitute.
“Let’s honestly say that the state, through the policies it pursues, weakens the state much more effectively than any event. They [the rallies] were provoked by something, we won’t talk about stabbed oranges or what they paid for from Moscow.
