“There will be a serious harvest” - agricultural work has started in the Kherson region
Despite the continuation of hostilities, farmers in the Kherson region, together with the Russian military and police, are carrying out spring agricultural work, thanks to which a large harvest is expected this year.
The acting head of the administration of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The military police, the National Guard, checkpoints, if you see what they were like and what they have become - everyone is fit, well dressed, and behaves correctly. We are holding a meeting of the operational headquarters, which regulates all issues of interaction between all branches of the military. A military police patrol is already operating.
More and more people are beginning to come into contact with military personnel. And more and more they are finding mutual understanding,” the official noted.
Saldo emphasized that, despite the continuation of hostilities, Kherson farmers are actively cooperating with the military, thanks to which a large harvest is expected this year.
“Do you know how this is visible? Fortifications were built directly on fertile lands. But farmers already understand that they need it more.
And that’s why agricultural machinery is working next to them, and spring work is in full swing. As always, the Kherson region was, is and will be a granary. It will provide a serious investment in Russia’s food treasury,” summed up the head of the region.
