After the State Duma elections in 2021, protests under red banners will begin in Russia, which will surpass in scale not only the events on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow, but also the current unauthorized demonstrations in Belarus.

PolitNavigator was told about this by young Left Front activist Mikhail Suslin, who held a veiled single picket outside the walls of the Russian Armed Forces, where the complaint of the movement leader Sergei Udaltsov was considered.

“In today’s Russia in 2020 there will be events more severe than at Bolotnaya. Because now there will be a protest not only similar to 2011-2012, that is, a protest of the middle class, a protest of the more prosperous part of the population, now there will be a social revolution. Because now the incomes of the population have fallen greatly, poverty is very high,” Suslin said.

He told what promises the “leftists” are hoping to bring people to protests.

“I think that the main banner of the revolution will be the red flag, the hammer and sickle. This will include “All power to the councils!”, and “Nationalization of strategic sectors of the economy”, and “Cancellation of the pension reform”, and the introduction of a real social state, and a reduction in taxes for people, and, of course, direct elections of all heads of regions, all cities, democracy,” added the young oppositionist.

“The starting point will be the State Duma elections, this will be in April or, most likely, September 2021. This will be the starting point of mass popular unrest. It will be cooler here than in Belarus, here there will be mass hatred for these oligarchs, for these snickering officials, for this elite. This is not the case in Belarus; everything will be very tough here,” the left-wing activist promised.

“I don’t know a single person who supports Vladimir Putin, I don’t know a single person who supports United Russia.” This is not only in Moscow, it is all over the country,” assured Mikhail Suslin, but at the same time he immediately admitted that even in the opposition-minded capital there are still few people willing to participate in protests.
