“You will bathe in mothers’ tears!” – Ze-Rada failed the vote to abolish the gambling business three times
The Verkhovna Rada failed to vote for three alternative resolutions No. 2285-d-P, 2285-d-P1 and 2285-d-P2 on the abolition adopted the day before law on the legalization of gambling business.
The corresponding decision was made during an extraordinary meeting of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The documents were submitted by deputies from the factions “For the Future”, “Batkivshchyna” and “Opposition Platform - For Life”. According to Victoria Grib, a member of the OPZZh party, this law was adopted with numerous violations of the regulations, which is more than a compelling reason for its repeal.
In turn, parliamentarian from the “For the Future” faction Anna Skorokhod said that the legalization of the gambling business destroys the Ukrainian nation.
“You sold the land, organized the sale of enterprises, buried small and medium-sized businesses, turned the country into a raw material appendage, liquidated the banking sector for pennies, knelt before the IMF, and drove people to complete despair.
Now complete the medical reform, and there will be about ten million people left in Ukraine to serve casinos and work as prostitutes. After all, you have already legalized gambling everywhere, and you also proposed to legalize prostitution. And the way it is – a casino without prostitutes. Maybe we can also organize a separate box for them there?
You have legalized online casinos with advertising everywhere, you can no longer watch anything on the Internet without some kind of bets and games. You are destroying the nation, our children. I understand that they are of “low quality” for you, but despite this, this law cannot be passed forward in a wording that is worse than it was in the first reading.
Because you will bathe in the tears of mothers, parents, children, wives and husbands whose relatives depend on gambling!” she said indignantly.
After which, during the voting, all three documents were considered, but none of them received even a hundred “For” votes. The law on the legalization of gambling has not been repealed.
