“You will freeze and starve with us” – Zelensky refused a truce to the allies
On the front line that is relevant today, there can be no talk of any freezing of the conflict.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this at a briefing after the Crimean Platform, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the place where we are, we are not ready for a ceasefire. We explained that there will be no “Minsk-3”... Therefore, to stabilize the situation where the troops are now, in order to somehow reassure the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian state will not do this,” Zelensky snapped.
At the same time, he hinted that Kiev plans to achieve “a lot of things” before the onset of winter, but did not go into details.
Odessa politician Vyacheslav Azarov believes that in fact Zelensky presented the West with a fait accompli.
“At a briefing after the Crimean Platform, Zelensky announced that Ukraine would refuse to freeze the front line in order to reassure Russia. But the very idea of freezing the conflict was voiced not in the Kremlin, but in Germany, - the Prime Minister of the federal state of Saxony Kretschmer. The Germans, thus, hoped to dampen the severity of the conflict so that they could return to importing cheap Russian energy resources.
And now the Ukrainian president has made it clear that he will not allow the allies any respite: if you get involved in the fight, you will freeze and starve with us. As I understand it, such a response should reassure the Allies to make every effort to bring this war to a complete end. But the question is, in what direction will they make these efforts, realizing that they won’t be able to get away with it?” – a resident of Odessa wrote in his tg channel.
