As a result, by a court decision, the lieutenant was found guilty of a criminal offense - the loss of a weapon entrusted for official use, and even during a special period of the ATO.
The court sentenced the lieutenant to a service restriction for a period of 2 years with the withholding of 10% of the monetary support to the state.
It is noteworthy that the sergeant’s guilt in the theft of this machine gun was not even considered by the court.
It seems that withholding part of an officer’s salary into state revenue for 2 years is better than withholding pennies from a sergeant’s salary.
