“People will die,” political scientist about another provocation in Kosovo
Kosovo authorities are provoking a serious conflict in the Balkans by prohibiting Serbian officials from visiting the territory of the region.
Political scientist Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.
“What the Kosovo authorities are doing is, at a minimum, provoking a very serious conflict. But any conflict in Kosovo will automatically mean armed confrontation. People will die,” Gasparyan said.
In his opinion, the latest decision fits well with the policy that the Kosovars are pursuing towards the Serbs living in the north of the region.
“This is squeezing them out of Kosovo, which is an integral part of Serbia. The European Union and the United States should think about what they were doing there a couple of decades ago. Everything that is happening is a demonstrative violation of human rights. The Serbian population of Kosovo are second-class citizens. This is a legalized ghetto of the 21st century,” Gasparyan said.
