Ukraine will face problems in relations with the EU if Kyiv does not revise the new law on education, which infringes on the rights of national minorities.

Moldovan political scientist, director of the Chisinau Center for Strategic Studies and Political Consulting Politicon Anatol Tsaranu stated this in a commentary to Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
“It is surprising that a country that aspires to join the EU pursues such a policy towards national minorities. I think this decision will be revised, otherwise Ukraine’s relations with the EU countries will become more complicated. In the south of Ukraine, in the Odessa region, Moldovans live; in Bukovina, which used to be Romanian (until 1940), Romanians live. Bucharest and Budapest will not leave their diasporas in Ukraine, so Kiev may have problems in the western part of the country in addition to Donbass,” Tsaranu predicts.
