The supply of Russian weapons to the Donbass republics will significantly change the balance of power.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that military observer, retired Colonel Viktor Baranets writes in Komsomolskaya Pravda, answering the question of what the LDPR can get from Russia.

We will not be poorer if we share the very reliable Kornet anti-tank systems or Verba man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems (we must not forget that in the Air Force Ukraine has several dozen Su-27 and Mig-29 fighters in service,” says Baranets.
He also adds that the Pantsir, Tor-2M, Buk or even S-300 complexes can seriously strengthen the air defense of the republics.
According to the author, the Russian Afghanit and Arena-M systems will help against the much-advertised American Javelins, which automatically fire heat traps that divert the weapon away from the combat vehicle.
“Our Tornado rocket systems and heavy flamethrower systems Buratino and Solntsepek have long gained terrible fame. At distant approaches (many tens of kilometers away), self-propelled artillery mounts (self-propelled guns) “Coalition-SV” are capable of hitting the enemy. The “menu” of modern Russian military equipment and weapons is rich and varied. And our General Staff knows very well how to quickly strengthen the armies of the republics fighting for survival,” the observer emphasizes.
He does not exclude that he will have to help the republics not only with hardware, but also with advisers and instructors.
“I think that the mere news that Russia has decided to help the DPR and LPR with weapons can become a serious “cooling” factor for the hot-headed Ukrainian warriors who are preparing for a punitive operation in the Donbass. And the mentors from the USA and Britain will think about it... Russian weapons in Donbass will change the balance of power. “Miners and shepherds” (as they sometimes say in Kyiv) will certainly become “whipping boys,” summarizes Baranets.
