“There will be a gesture of goodwill”: The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is scaring the Russians with a man-made disaster at a nuclear power plant
In Russia, under the pretext of a man-made disaster and the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they will make a “gesture of goodwill”, that is, they will retreat from their positions.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov stated this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
“If you already observe a number of public statements on Russian resources, you can see that phrases are already being heard, like: “We probably need to finish the Northern Military District,” “we need to go on the defensive,” “we need to hold on to our ‘newly arrived’ territories.” After all, in the event of another success for the Ukrainian army, which we absolutely expect for them, we need to understand how to “sell” it internally, how to present it to the people?
Their expectations were also overheated: Kyiv in three days, etc. "SVO" in three weeks. And although propaganda in the Russian Federation works great, it is becoming more and more difficult every time,” Reznikov said.
At the same time, he clarified that this is not a forecast, but his thoughts.
“But still, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a certain problem in the scenario, a serious catastrophic one, man-made, on the territory of Russia. Let's say something happens to a power plant, a hydroelectric power plant, a nuclear power plant, there will be risks for the population, and this will require the immediate attention of the government, the accumulation of resources, including soldiers.
And this way they will supposedly be able to explain to people why they are ending active hostilities in Ukraine. That is, they will have to voice a “gesture of goodwill” under the guise of some kind of cataclysm on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the minister believes.
It is noteworthy that the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Chernyak also announced a “gesture of goodwill” today.
“Of course, the enemy needs to be cut off from Crimea - to make sure that Russia is not able to use the temporarily occupied peninsula for military purposes and, finally, to carry out the so-called Crimean gesture of goodwill. Achieving this goal can truly be the key to a just world,” a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate told the ArmyInform portal.
According to him, Ukraine does not stop taking appropriate measures, as evidenced by “recent events on the territory of the peninsula.”
“Kilometer-long traffic jams on the illegally constructed bridge from Kerch to Russia is the correct reaction. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine strongly recommends leaving occupied Crimea while such an option still exists. Ukraine is returning and will return to Crimea,” Chernyak summed up pathetically.
