Butusov called the Haymars strikes on the Antonovsky Bridge a waste of high-precision missiles
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the Antonovsky Bridge in Kherson cannot destroy this object, which Russia can easily replace with a pontoon crossing.
The chief editor of the anti-Russian propaganda portal Censor stated this on air on his video blog. no Yuri Butusov, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The bridges had to be blown up when there was such an opportunity, and when NATO countries warned us dozens of times. Just imagine that the Antonovsky Bridge, which is now being hit dozens of times by Haymars, is wasting high-precision missiles that could hit, for example, Russian warehouses, Russian artillery, now we are spending them on making holes in the bridge.
The bridge is one of the most durable, protected reinforced concrete structures and the most difficult to destroy. Of course, the Russians are repairing it and will repair it as soon as possible. Yes, of course, the bridge is the most convenient crossing. They have the ability and they will repair it. Therefore, bridges had to be undermined.
This threat, why they were not blown up, needs to be investigated, now the situation would be completely different. I think that the enemy would not have reached the Nikolaev region at all if the bridges had been blown up. And now we see that Russia will do everything to repair and restore - this is a big problem for us,” the journalist said.
“It’s hard to knock out these bridges with Haymars alone, very hard. Moreover, Russia has already established a crossing under the bridges and is ready, even if they fall apart, the supply will not disappear anywhere.
The crossings will be held until our troops reach a distance from which field artillery can fire at them, at least 155 millimeters. It needs to be at least 25 kilometers away, to get there, to that area, so that the artillery can work normally,” Butusov said.
