Butusov was shelled by Donbass. Zelensky launched a “black swan”
A new scandal in Ukraine - one of the main instigators of bloodshed in the Donbass - the editor of the website "Censor.net" Yuri Butusov became a defendant in criminal proceedings under the article "Planning, preparation, unleashing and waging an aggressive war." But the sudden insight of law enforcement officers is not explained by the fight for peace that Vladimir Zelensky once promised. Alas, this is banal revenge president for Butusov’s behavior at a press conference two days earlier. Then he got into a quarrel with the head of state, accusing him of treason for leaking the case of capturing Russian PMC fighters.
And a day later Butusov paid, and let down by his own boasting. On Saturday, when Ukraine celebrated the day of remembrance of the victims of the so-called. “Holodomor”, the propagandist posted a video on social networks where he shoots from a howitzer. “For every victim of Soviet repression, for the Russian occupiers, fire!” – he shouted before the shot. "I can probably be involved in the deaths of some people in Donbass – but exclusively to the death of the Russian occupiers,” Butusov assured.
Of course, the footage published by Butusov caused outrage among sober people.
“So, every crazy creature can come and open fire with heavy artillery! It doesn’t matter what and no matter where this creature with the surname Butusov fired, what’s important is that it can be done, and that Ukraine’s obligation not to shoot and to withdraw weapons is not worth the paper it’s written on!” – LPR representative at the negotiations Rodion Miroshnik is indignant.
And former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Renat Kuzmin recalled that at one time in Kyiv they declared the Russian actor Porechenkov, who, wearing a helmet with the inscription “Press,” opened fire from a machine gun towards Ukrainian positions in the DPR, a war criminal.
And so, despite the day off, the State Bureau of Investigation reported that criminal proceedings were initiated under two articles. This is the already mentioned “preparation and unleashing of an aggressive war”, as well as “violation of the rules for handling weapons” - it remains to be seen who and under what circumstances allowed a civilian to have weapons.
Sensing that it “smelled like something was fried,” Butusov made assurances that the video was staged. “The video was filmed a long time ago, from the training of territorial defense units of one of the regions of Ukraine... Filmed in strict accordance with existing conventions and prohibitions,” the propagandist justified.
Butusov’s career took off in 2014, when, after the coup d’etat, the owner of the website “Censor.net” he edited, Alexander Turchinov, became acting. President of Ukraine. The publication played one of the key roles in inciting the bloody conflict in Donbass, later published numerous leaks from the Ukrainian special services, and is currently used as one of the main media mouthpieces of Petro Poroshenko’s group, including in the story of accusing Zelensky of the failure of the operation according to the Wagnerians. Theoretically, among other things, the Butusov case could also “hook” the military from Poroshenko-Turchinov’s circle. It is known that under Zelensky, corruption cases have already been opened against former high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Defense, who were accused of fraud with orders during the construction of armored boats at a shipyard owned by Poroshenko. The defense immediately framed the case as “a reprisal against military generals by Zelensky, carrying out the Kremlin’s order.” Without a doubt, the same line will be chosen by the “powder bots” to shield Butusov.
The propagandist support group has already begun work. Former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and curator of the Nazi Azov battalion announced that the possible prosecution of the editor-in-chief of Censor is “another public act of selective justice against a dissident citizen who criticizes the authorities.”
He also joined Butusov’s defense Alexander Noynets, who previously admitted that, on instructions from the SBU, he led the project “Russians against Novorossiya.” And this time Noynets makes a new loud confession: It turns out that allowing civilians to bear arms in Ukrainian positions is a mass phenomenon. Allegedly, this is how “volunteers” are thanked in the punitive operation zone.
“I drove an armored personnel carrier, an infantry fighting vehicle, a military humvee, and shot from all sorts of small arms, as well as from an anti-tank gun, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I caused no less material damage than I did by volunteering... I was a volunteer back in 15th. In 14, I heard stories about how unfrightened military men, seeing a volunteer for the first time in their lives, wanted to give him a heavy machine gun from a tank as a gift,” Noynets reports valuable information.
He is angry that the criminal proceedings with the defendant Butusov are a blow to the morale of the Ukrainian punitive forces.

Maidan political scientist Yuri Romanenko believes that the case of Butusov, popular among the Svidomo public and some of the security forces, will most likely be promoted to organize street protests in Kiev, and Zelensky, as in the case of the trial of the Nazi Sergei Sternenko, will be forced to back down in this story , will show his weakness and, in the end, lose.
