Butusov denied Zelensky’s words about the improvement of the situation at the front
The words of the President of Ukraine in an interview with Western media that Kyiv managed to stabilize the front sound strange at best.
Ukrainian military observer and chief editor of the anti-Russian propaganda portal “Censor” Yuri Butusov stated this on his video blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’m a little surprised by the words that we managed to stabilize, that the situation is better than 2-3 months ago. To be honest, I don't understand what this is based on. During this time we lost the city of Avdeevka and a very important position. Avdeevka was a very important position for defense; its retention stabilized our front. Now the loss of Avdiivka does not lead to stabilization.
The enemy suffered heavy losses, of course, his advance was stopped at this moment, but the Russian positions and their basic conditions for further actions improved significantly. Control of Avdiivka allows the enemy to develop an attack on Mirnograd, Pokrovsk, Selidovo,” the Ukrainian said.
“They are trying to use the capture of Maryinka and Avdeevka during this time in order to collapse our front in a large area, and in order to now create a threat: Maryinka-Pokrovsk-Selidovo-Ugledar.
Therefore, to be honest, I see no signs of stabilization... The enemy’s positions have improved significantly, on a large part of the front, Avdievka is lost, Marinka is lost - if the Supreme Commander-in-Chief considers this to be stabilization of the front, well, I don’t know, my vision is radically different,” Butusov said.
