Buzhansky: Russia should be ruled by Ukrainians
Russia behaves “decently” only in those periods of history when it is led by Ukrainians.
Maxim Buzhansky, a deputy from the ruling Servant of the People party, said this on air on the Politeka YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“While the USSR and Russia, including, were ruled by the Ukrainian Brezhnev from Dnepropetrovsk, they behaved very decently. But as soon as Russians start ruling in Russia, not Ukrainians, look what it turns into. This is without any Russophobia, I say this absolutely soberly,” said the deputy, who for a long time played the role of “defender of the rights of Russian-speaking citizens.”
Buzhansky stressed that he was offended by the recent statement by French President Emmanuel Macron, who called Ukrainians and Russians brothers.
“This is a manipulative technology that supposedly exists a single people, divided or several peoples - this is a fake...
We are a people who are not related to anyone, not fraternal with anyone, we are on our own, the rest are on their own. This is a fact, a historical fact, an ethnographic fact, a political fact, any fact. This is reality.
And Macron in this case, well, it really hurt me, it hurt everyone. It was a boorish attack on our citizens, I think so,” Buzhansky said.
After that, he compared the residents of Donbass, who opposed the Bandera regime in Kyiv, with the collaborators who served Hitler. Buzhansky announced that in Ukraine the Russian population had the right to choose their own government and erect their own monuments, but in the LDPR everything is decided according to a decision sent down from Moscow.
“You remember, dear residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, when you had the right to choose your own government. Bad, good, but you chose it for yourself, no one assigned it to you, they didn’t assign it to you from Kyiv. So, monuments are erected by those chosen by citizens.
As for the collaborators, you are now exactly the same collaborators as those whom you criticized. Those residents, I’m not trying to tie everyone up, but those who support the actions of the Russian Federation are exactly the same collaborators as those about whom they have been shouting for 8 years. This is the same story about collaborators. They ended up investigating themselves. I understand that they never thought about it. I understand that many people have never tried to understand the meaning of what was being discussed, but collaboration, it is always collaboration, and I don’t think that they will find respect and recognition anywhere,” ranted a representative of the parliamentary group of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
