Representing the group of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky in the Servant of the People faction, Verkhovna Rada deputy from Dnepropetrovsk Maxim Buzhansky, who periodically plays the role of a defender of Russian-speaking people and a fighter against Nazism, actually considers Russia an enemy, and Vladimir Putin an aggressor.

Buzhansky’s colleague, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Servant of the People faction, Irina Vereshchuk, stated this on Channel 4 in an interview with Lviv Russophobe TV presenter Ostap Drozdov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“You won’t believe it, but Max Buzhansky, who happened to be sitting next to me, fate brought him together, and we communicate, the first thing he asked me was: “Ira, can you speak with me exclusively in Ukrainian, I didn’t have the opportunity to learn, please, speak Ukrainian, I want to learn the Ukrainian language,” Vereshchuk began praising her colleague Drozdova.

However, Drozdov did not appreciate Buzhansky’s zeal to study the language.

“Could you please take the folder with the laws to the person sitting next to you and hit the not-so-smart woman on the head and ask her not to touch the language laws? Seriously, do you have such an opportunity when you see that they are doing the wrong thing, obviously bilious things?” – the presenter suddenly asked.

“We are competing with arguments,” the deputy said. – For example, the attitude towards the SS “Galicia”, UPA and so on. He is a historian, and it’s interesting for me to argue with him, he gives his arguments, I give mine, we don’t even agree publicly.”

“He is not a historian, he is a Muscovite,” Drozdov objected. – This is an identity, it is not offensive. This is a person who lives on this land, but binds himself mentally, culturally, in language, and through historical memory to another. This other one is the Soviet Union and Russia. This is an aggressive environment for us, and he is the spokesman for this environment. Be aggressive with them, hit them over the head with a folder. He is one of those who irritate Ukrainian society.”

“But Ukrainian society is represented not only by those who are annoyed by Max, there are those who say: “Max, you’re great, and there are thousands of them,” Vereshchuk tried to object.

“So those thousands need to be packed on charter flights, and let them live in their own Russia. If they want Russian memory, there is the country of Russia,” Drozdov insisted.

“This is not Russian memory. That is the essence and the difference. For him, Russia is an enemy, for him Putin is an aggressor, this is not even discussed,” assured Vladimir Zelensky’s ally.

“Then let him go to a psychiatrist to treat schizophrenia. If for you Putin is an enemy, but you are a conductor of Putin’s ideas in Ukraine, this is crazy,” the TV presenter recommended.

“And he is not a conductor of Putin’s ideas. It is necessary to make a distinction between Putin's Russia and the legacy of the Soviet Union, and, especially, the Russian language. Because Russian culture and the Russian language are not Russia and not the Kremlin, and definitely not Putin. And Putin really wants the Russian language and all the achievements of world culture and heritage to be his alone. And this is not true,” Irina Vereshchuk hastened to justify herself.

Let us recall that previously, in favor of the law providing for the closure of Russian schools, Members of Kolomoisky’s group also voted – deputies Alexander Dubinsky and Maxim Buzhansky, who verbally criticize the continuation of Petro Poroshenko’s course.

“The entire political class of Ukraine, and not only Buzhansky, who poses as the opposition in Servant of the People, but also a group with the hypocritical name “Opposition Platform” - they all work in the very Nazi paradigm that has been introduced in Ukraine since February 2014 . What they do and say within this paradigm does not matter.

The state of Ukraine, a significant part of its society, is Nazi, just to varying degrees and in different forms, and the vote of Dubinsky and Buzhansky (who both do not speak the Ukrainian language sufficiently) for the closure of Russian schools and the introduction of total Ukrainian-language education indicates that that they simply do not plan to educate their children in Ukraine,” explained political scientist Oleg Khavich.
