Elderberry is alive! Flash mob of opponents of Ukrainian fascism
Opponents of Ukrainian fascism began the “Buzina Is Alive” action, dedicated to the memory of the writer and journalist Oles Buzina, who was killed exactly 4 months ago in Kyiv in the courtyard of his own house.
Admirers of Buzina’s work leave portraits of the writer on the streets of cities. Today such an event was held in Zaporozhye, and other cities of Ukraine are next in line.

“Exactly 4 months ago, on April 16, in Kyiv, the famous publicist, writer and historian Oles Buzina was killed in the courtyard of his own house.
Instead of an objective investigation into this political murder, the Ukrainian authorities are demonstrating a strange resemblance to a trial, and nationalists and neo-fascists have generally made the death of a worthy and talented person a reason for joy.
On the occasion of the writer’s birthday, a memorial plaque was installed at the entrance of the house where he lived, which was stolen a little later for the sake of quick fame by yet another half-witted nationalists Artem Zakharchenko and Yuri Khodarev.
Since in this country it is already forbidden to show respect even to dead people who during their lifetime had views and ideas that ran counter to the official ideology of new Ukrainian nationalism and “Euromaidan”, to this sad date, Komsomol members of Zaporozhye themselves painted portraits of Oles Buzina around the city, as a reminder that you can kill a person, but it is impossible to kill his ideas and his creativity.
Oles will remain with us as long as we remember him, while we read his books and publications, watch his author’s programs and interviews.
