“The cattle of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth – that’s all the “European past” of Ukraine”
The “European past” that the Ukrainian “Svidomo” boast so much about is nothing more than the pride of being under the Poles as slaves. The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Here they talked about the European historical past of Ukraine - when Gulyai-Polye was called “Ukraine” in Polish - the outskirts were part of first the Principality of Lithuania, and then the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the population that lived there, they were serfs, “cattle” in Polish. This is how the Poles saw the population of “Ukraine”. This is the only European past that this population had - the cattle of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and this is how they want to see your future. Ukraine had no other “European past”.
If you see pride and your goal in this, then you go towards it, because in Europe they don’t look at you differently,” Kedmi said, addressing experts from Ukraine.
“You are simply twisting the facts,” Ukrainian economist Alexander Okhrimenko tried to brush it off, offended.
