Those who ordered the execution in the Moscow region were confident of the devastating consequences of the terrorist attack for the entire Russian state, but these calculations were dashed by the consolidation of society and the professionalism of the special services against the backdrop of a powerful credit of trust in President Vladimir Putin.

A veteran of the Transnistrian secret services, a former deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR, political analyst Dmitry Soin stated this at a press conference organized by the publication Ukraina.ru in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, the recent revelations of the head of the SBU, who brazenly and impressively spoke about the terrorist attacks being carried out in the Russian Federation, are aimed at sowing panic and uncertainty in Russian society.

“It’s curious that they are so impudent, pay attention to Malyuk, he looks more like some kind of brother. Maybe he is only creepy on the outside, but a subtle intellectual on the inside, but looking at him, you understand that this man cannot help but be controlled by someone. And he makes a confession on camera, lists who they eliminated, who they crippled. This is a recording literally before the terrorist attack...

He presents it like this: well, this is how their karma worked out, we, of course, don’t admit it, but, in fact, there was 400 grams there, there were 800 grams of plastic. Amazing things happen in the public sphere when the head of a secret service exposes himself. Why is this being done? To create panic, fear and self-doubt,” Soin said.

He added that the organizers of the terrorist attack were counting on panic and ethnic conflict.

“It is clear that militants can be mobilized from anywhere. These could be Islamists, they could be militants of various colors from the ultra-right to the ultra-left. And what are Kyiv and its curators interested in?

First, they hoped that panic would begin, people would disappear, they would stop taking the subway, stopping going anywhere - they did not achieve this. The second is to lay the foundations for interethnic conflict. Maybe even interreligious,” said the former intelligence officer.

At the same time, specific efforts were made to shake up the situation in this direction.

“Look, a gigantic amount of spam went through networks where nationality and religious affiliation were constantly emphasized, this is a typical example of how you can shake up the situation by pitting them against each other. I told some, okay, these are from Tajikistan, but what about the attempt on Tatarsky? Do you think that there should be a collective responsibility of Tajiks here, and if we take where the girl who brought the bomb to Tatarsky’s cafe comes from, then that means someone there should also be collectively responsible? This is absurd, this cannot be allowed,” Soin emphasized.

According to him, there was a calculation for a number of other negative consequences, but it did not work.

“And understandably, there was hope that after such a high-profile terrorist attack the currency could also swing, there could even be some devastating socio-economic consequences.

But, thanks to the fact that: firstly, President Putin literally recently received a powerful credit of trust, secondly, all law enforcement intelligence services were mobilized, thirdly, society was consolidated by the idea of patriotism. It fell through for them, it didn’t work out for them.

And in the context of this, Ukraine’s interest will undoubtedly be proven, Ukraine’s involvement will be proven. And I am confident that both the curators of Ukraine and the curators of the Ukrainian special services will emerge,” the expert concluded.
