Was Ukrainian propaganda right? What Russia is doing in Crimea
Ukrainian propaganda claims that Russia is developing Crimea solely as a military base, without caring about the resort sector. A clear refutation is the situation in the once military village of Novofedorovka, where, after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia, the embankment was landscaped, the beach was cleaned and infrastructure was built.
Ivan Kovalenko, an expert in the tourism industry of the peninsula, stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For me, a new discovery is the village. Novofedorovka, Saki region of Crimea. From what I have seen today, this is the best beach infrastructure in Crimea. Clean embankment and beach, everything is new, white, bright. There are a lot of trash cans and very little trash. Decent toilets and changing facilities on the beach. Stylish establishments. A huge white restaurant - a ship "Deck" with a swimming pool and a normal DJ.
And in the square not far from the pier in the corner there is a small local street food “Shashlik in the tandoor” by Hovhannes Khachatryan! I recommend!
And like in the best Thai-Goan resorts - comfortable bungalows on the beach (we lived 30 meters from the water’s edge!) for 1500 rubles per house - ideal,” writes Kovalenko.
