Former Zelensky appointee delivers bad news for Ukraine following Blinken's visit
The statement by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who recently visited Kiev, that Ukraine is ready for negotiations is an important signal to the Kyiv regime on the eve of President Zelensky’s visit to New York.
The ex-head of the office of the National Reform Council under President Zelensky, Maria Barabash, stated this on the “Now” video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Barabash, Zelensky will have no chance at a meeting with US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, because the American elite is not ready to bet on Ukraine’s victory.
“We have already heard Secretary Blinken speak to NBC News after his visit to Ukraine, when he said he was calling on Ukraine to negotiate with Russia. And this was just before Zelensky’s visit to the United States, to which Zelensky replied that there would be no negotiations.
That is, of course, this is a very difficult and bad situation for Ukraine, when our closest allies demand negotiations from us. Mr. Blinken said that it takes two to tango, saying that Ukraine is ready to negotiate, but Russia is not. Therefore, this is very important information for Zelensky before his visit to the UN Council,” said the ex-official.
“We expect that there will be a meeting between President Biden and President Zelensky, because this is the most important meeting that we are waiting for. Unfortunately, we see that the Washington elite is now not ready to ensure that Ukraine wins.
President Biden says that Ukraine is still free and independent, but he does not say that Ukraine is winning,” Barabash said.
