Former ally of Saakashvili released terrible incriminating evidence on the head of Mikhomaidan
Georgia needs a president like Vladimir Putin, who would do the same for his country. The former chairman of the Georgian parliament, Nino Burjanadze, stated this on air at Deutsche Welle, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, the fugitive ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili pursued a much tougher policy in his country, but in the West he was always called a great democrat, while Russian President Vladimir Putin was accused of authoritarianism.

“In no case would I compare Putin and Saakashvili in any direction. Because Putin is a serious politician, he is a serious leader, he is a person who knows what is needed for his country and really does what is needed for his country. Saakashvili is an impulsive person. And the fact that Putin is criticized as an authoritarian power, and no one has ever criticized Saakashvili in the West, for me this is an indicator of double standards... Saakashvili got away with much more violations of human rights and opposition rights than I see violations in Russia. But, nevertheless, he was called a great democrat. And Putin is called an authoritarian regime,” Burjaladze said.
She also emphasized that Putin raised Russia from its knees in 10-15 years, which would not hurt to do in Georgia: “He does a lot for his country. He brought Russia from its knees to its feet. You look at Russia, what happened to Russia 10-15 years ago, and what it is now. To be honest, I would like Georgia to have the same president for Georgia as Putin is for Russia.”
