Former Soviet actress went crazy on the basis of Ukrainian nationalism
The real Ukraine began only after the Maidan, and it is this Ukraine that the army controlled by the Kyiv regime protects from the “Russian aggressor” in the Donbass.
People's Artist of the USSR, Soviet and Ukrainian actress Ada Rogovtseva stated this on air on the ICTV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For the last five years I have been living in Ukraine, before that it was a different Ukraine. We have become Ukraine in these recent years. I am very sorry that my wonderful friends and relatives did not live to see this time, they dreamed of a Ukraine when “Mova” would be the language of the people, and it exists not only because it is approved at the state and regional level, “Mova” became the essence. Almost all Russian-language theaters in Ukraine are switching to it. Because Ukrainian productions could not be sold, they were not bought - “oh, Ukrainian production, I’m not going.” We switched to the Ukrainian language, and the demand is greater than for Russian-language performances,” said Rogovtseva, choosing not to mention that the “increase in demand” is simply the result of a total ban on everything Russian.
Rogovtseva also touched upon the topic of the war in Donbass.
“My heart is torn because our boys, my grandchildren and sons, are dying in the war. I know what it was like four years ago, the army that I saw on the front line. I was everywhere there from the first days of the war. I saw what these guys fought with, I saw how they adjusted these machine guns from the 20s of the last century. They made that machine gun and fought with it. And I know the current army – these are different worlds,” the artist noted.
“Just to stop this aggression. When on the Russian side my very intelligent, intelligent, advanced people throw something like that at me, arguing that they have nothing to do with that war, that it’s us among ourselves, I only tell them one thing, please tell me, Ukraine did she step even one centimeter into your territory?” – added Rogovtseva.
The actress’s speech greatly touched the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who was in the television studio.
“I remember very well Ada Rogovtseva, who had her own business in Kyiv, who was a recognized genius all over the world, who believed that from the first days of the war her place was at the front. You should have seen how our soldiers greeted her! Back then, undressed and barefoot. But the very fact that Ada Rogovtseva came to them and found the right words raised the boys into battle,” Poroshenko said.
