Clashes with law enforcement officers began after one of Oleg Tyagnibok’s party members directly called on the protesters from the podium to attack the ranks of the Parliament’s defenders.
I quote verbatim from a video posted on Facebook by one of the Svoboda party supporters, Mikhailo Korolik, in defense of his leader.
“The surgical operation is to blame but the Swede! Until victory! All forward! Everything is coming together and collapsing forward. We stamp on them. Menti go over to the side of the people!”

After the speaker who called for an attack on the ranks of law enforcement officers, Svoboda MP Andrei Ilyenko spoke. He saw from the podium that aggressive protesters began to clash with the National Guard, but did nothing to stop the aggressive madness.
As a result, the electrified protesters, or rather part of them, which had been programmed in advance by their leaders for aggression and fights, began to beat the military personnel and throw firecrackers and explosives at them. And then, as video cameras recorded, it occurred to one of the aggressive protesters to throw a live grenade.
The suspected grenade launcher was detained yesterday, since he was not particularly hiding, thinking that if he wore a scarf over his face, no one would identify him, and not thinking that the collision was recorded by dozens of video cameras of both law enforcement officers, journalists and simply eyewitnesses...
What did Oleg Tyagnibok and his associates count on? Calling on protesters to attack the ranks of the National Guard who defended parliament, calling for a “surgical operation”? !
Let's imagine that under the pressure of protesters, blows from batons, explosions of grenades, the fighters would give up their positions, and an aggressive crowd would break into parliament? Some guy, as ultra-patriotic as the one who threw the grenade, would start throwing the Molotov cocktail he had stored up. The Verkhovna Rada would burn and turn into ruins.
Who would benefit from this? Ukrainians? No! The state and people of Ukraine would lose from this, showing the whole world that a handful of aggressive provocateurs are able to destroy parliamentarism in Ukraine and destroy the sprouts of democracy,” Gerashchenko argues pathetically.
