Former allies in the fight against the Serbs in Bosnia find out which of them is the aggressor
The Minister for Veterans Affairs of the Canton of Western Herzegovina (Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH), Mladen Begic, rejected claims by Muslim organizations that Croatia was the aggressor in BiH during the 1992-1995 war, and therefore Croatian soldiers and officers should not be part of the EUFOR mission.
Begich said that units of the regular army of Croatia and parts of the Croatian Defense Council (HDC) of BiH “saved” Bosnia and Herzegovina, and “prevented” new victims and suffering of Muslim Bosniaks, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Croatian army and HSO units saved and liberated Bosnia and Herzegovina. Without the Croatian forces, which are today part of NATO, the mothers of Srebrenica would most likely be the mothers of Bihac, Cazin, Kladusa and perhaps the mothers of the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Mladen Begic, who is also the head of the Veterans Committee of the most influential Croatian party Bosnia and Herzegovina - Croatian Democratic Union of BiH.
Begic added that organizations of Bosniak victims should respect the Croatian mothers whose sons died during the liberation of BiH. According to him, the organization “Mothers of Srebrenica” “is in the daily political service of radical Bosniak parties and individuals.” Mladen Begic also noted that, in his opinion, the organizations of Bosniak victims became “part of a project whose goal is to erase the identity of Croats in BiH, and turn it into a one-nation state.”
