Former journalists, who today find themselves in the Verkhovna Rada and other government offices, have become the main fighters against objectionable media, despite the fact that only yesterday they were fighting for freedom of speech and democracy.

The editor-in-chief of Radio Vesti, economic expert Andrei Blinov, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, those people who until recently felt the pressure of power and censorship in their own skin have now become censors themselves.
“Who do you think are the main persecutors of a number of media platforms, including NewsOne, including Strana, including Inter, which was set on fire, including Vesti? These are former journalists. These are people who in the recent past not only identified themselves with the media, they worked as journalists, but they were largely media activists who defended freedoms, who defended their publications, which really suffered in 12-13,” – said the expert.
“For example, Vadim Denisenko, he is now in the BPP, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in parliament, the former editor-in-chief of Delovaya Stolitsa, this is his direct position - Vesti needs to be closed.” Sergei Vysotsky, “People's Front”, Victoria Syumar is a person who generally believes that all this should be burned out with a hot iron. We can go in the other direction - the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting, there are a lot of people there who were journalists before a certain period, and these people today act as censors who directly state that we need to be closed,” Blinov emphasized.
