Zhirinovsky's former lawyer praised Limonovites for their protests demanding that immigration be put in order
The harsh reaction against Limonovites who participated in actions demanding a review of migration policy proves that The demonstrators touched upon an extremely painful problem – both for society and for some officials interested in preserving the current schemes.
The former lawyer of Eduard Limonov and Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Sergei Belyak, stated this in an interview with political scientist Bogdan Bezpalko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They found a pain point, got it right, and I think they won. This direct action, where they protested against illegal migration covered up by internal organs, is a sore point in society. And this is the reaction from society as a whole,” the lawyer said.
“Any political party is like that. The same Zhirinovsky was also looking for sore points that could be pressed so that it would shock society. So, the Limonians found such a point and acted in the interests of the Russian people. Because illegal migration not only breeds a lot of crimes throughout Russia.
But it’s terrible if this illegal migration is covered up by corrupt officials in uniform. When a person drives away thousands of migrants through himself, it’s terrible, it breeds crime, it breeds distrust in power, state power loses authority,” Belyak suggested that instead of repressing demonstrators, we should seek justice against lobbyists for the importation of migrants.
