Former ATO soldier: Citizens of Ukraine go to the DPR for treatment

Citizens of Ukraine, faced with a lack of funds for the treatment of cancer, go for treatment to the DPR, using the “Program for the Reunification of the People of Donbass.” In Ukraine, the term “medical tourism in the DPR” even appeared.

About this during a Skype conference on the YouTube channel “Ukraine Open"said Ukrainian video blogger and former ATO officer Alexander Medinsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I would like to tell you another interesting point. Do you know about medical tourism? – Medinsky asked his interlocutor. – About the fact that in the DPR they operate on Ukrainian citizens with cancer free of charge and give chemotherapy free of charge?

My father-in-law is a cancer patient in Ukraine, he paid for everything out of his own pocket, although he is a Chernobyl survivor, a group II disabled person, a liquidator of the Chernobyl disaster. At one time he worked at this nuclear power plant, and then eliminated the consequences of that terrible accident.

So, when he came to the Ukrainian hospital, they told him: “Well, you understand, it kind of exists, and kind of doesn’t.” As a result, he had to go and buy these expensive medications at his own expense.

Many people go to the DPR for treatment, and this, I think, is nonsense,” said Alexander Medinsky.
