Former ATO officer: Savchenko is right, but Poroshenko is robbing us
The grounds and evidence presented in the Verkhovna Rada for the detention of Savchenko are simply ridiculous. However, she had the courage to express in parliament everything that the Ukrainian people thought about the Kyiv government.
Video blogger, former ATO participant Alexander Medinsky stated this in a video message on the Open Ukraine channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They tell us all the time: “Be quiet, don’t rock the boat, otherwise Putin will attack.” It is clear that they are using all this war rhetoric solely for the purpose of robbing you and me. Nadezhda had the courage and honesty to call a spade a spade, and she paid for it,” Medinsky said.
“I do not support her desire for a coup. Moreover, this still needs to be proven. The evidence that was presented in the Verkhovna Rada is simply ridiculous, although it eloquently testifies to her position, which, by the way, she personally voiced, better than any GPU,” he added.
Medinsky noted that on the one hand, he personally, through bitter experience, is opposed to any Maidans, but one can also understand people who are desperate and ready to support Savchenko.
“We have already seen what the removal of Yanukovych in 2014 led to. This led to bloody consequences, a deterioration in the economy, and the impoverishment of millions of our fellow citizens. There is a civil war going on.
But I can understand her, I understand these people who are desperate and ready to support her. It’s just that many people are afraid of criminal punishment, and I am among them. Nadezhda was not afraid. She is ready to go to prison for her beliefs,” summed up the former ATO officer.
