The former member of the CPSU demands that Poroshenko issue a decree on the cancellation of March 8
Kyiv, March 09 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – In Ukraine, it is necessary to cancel the celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 and appoint a new holiday, Ukrainian Women’s Day. Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from “Batkivshchyna”, writer Vladimir Yavorivsky, stated this on TV channel 112.

According to him, celebrating Women's Day on March 8 is an imposed tradition.
“This holiday was once imposed on us by two women who were unhappy in their personal lives - Rosa Luxembourg and Clara Zetkin. I approached the president with a proposal to move this holiday to Ukrainian Day sometime in the spring. Conduct it beautifully, at the state level,” Yavorivsky said.
Yavorivsky was a member of the CPSU from 1971 to 1990.
