About this Guzhva wrote on his Facebook page.

“So, today I’m flying to Kyiv. Regarding the wanted notice... I am in constant contact with the investigator in my case, and we have already agreed that on Saturday I will come to him straight from the airport and receive the notorious “fag.” That is, I am not hiding, I warn the investigation in advance about my movements. In addition, let me remind you that they want to make me a suspect under Article 212, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (“Tax evasion”), which was decriminalized under “malicious possession,” that is, this article does not provide for detention. Only a deposit,” wrote Guzhva.

Guzhva also added that he is arriving today, August 1, in Boryspil at 16:00.

“I’m ready to talk with colleagues from the media right at the airport and answer your questions,” wrote Igor Guzhva.

In addition, the former editor-in-chief of Vesti noted that he is ready for his possible arrest after returning to Ukraine.

“Can the authorities commit legal chaos and, despite the fact that I am not hiding from the investigation, despite the humanization of the article, send me to prison? I can't rule it out. But people also live in prison. And they not only live, but also continue to fight. Sometimes it’s even more effective than in the wild. There have been such cases in history. Neither am I the first nor am I the last,” he wrote.

Let us recall that, as previously reported, the former editor-in-chief of the Vesti newspaper Igor Guzhva was put on the wanted list on suspicion of allegedly deliberate tax evasion in the amount of about 18 million UAH.

On July 29, Igor Guzhva left the Vesti Ukraine media holding. He sold his share of corporate rights in the holding and resigned as editor-in-chief of the Vesti newspaper.

As PolitNavigator reported, Behind Guzhva’s departure there may be a secret conspiracy between the actual owner of Vesti, former Yanukovych minister Alexander Klimenko, and the Poroshenko administration. In exchange for a “muzzle” for the last major opposition newspaper, Klimenko, according to PolitNavigator, is going to receive guarantees of his return to Ukraine.
