Ponomarev was briefly interviewed by the film crew of the Russian TV channel LifeNews, although even with them he was not verbose.

He told journalists that he was going to fight in Donetsk.

“Everything is fine, I’m fine, as you can see, I’m alive and well. I've always been in the militia. Now I’m going to fight,” Ponomarev said.

Let us note that a number of media outlets reported that Igor Strelkov was seen today in Gorlovka.

As Navigator reported, in May Ponomarev criticized the leadership of the DPR, as well as the actions of Moscow. At the beginning of June, information appeared about his removal from the “duties” of the people’s mayor of Slavyansk.
