A former colonel of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces admitted that all Ukrainian aviation is Russian
Ukraine has a huge problem with its Navy - it practically does not exist, and military aviation is completely dependent on Russian supplies.
Oleg Zhdanov, a retired colonel and former officer of the operational department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Ukraine needs to switch to NATO standards, purchasing air defense systems and, possibly, aviation there.
“We have a big problem with the Navy and the Navy in general, we need to ask the question whether they exist or not today... We need to decide what to do with aviation. Today aviation is 100% Russian. All production of combat aircraft, with the exception of individual parts, is on our territory, and that is mainly electronics, and everything else is Russian. We need to decide what to do with combat aircraft and we need to build up the country's air defense shield. We need to modernize the systems, we need to purchase some modern ones, close to those of the NATO countries. In any case, we need to move to a new technological level in protecting our skies,” Zhdanov said.
